Circuit Bent Erhu Player Doll (The Butterfly Lover)
I was lucky to find this rare 12" tall vintage doll by Xinjili Toy Co. The toy resembles a boy wearing a red vest, a hat with the same colors as the vest, black glasses, and black shoes. The boy holds an erhu and stands on a black base. Whenever it detects a sound, the figure starts moving its head and body from side to side slowly and its right arm front and back while playing the classic "Butterfly Lover" music. I circuit bent this one with a pitch control, touch contacts in his shoes and a motion cutoff switch.
